Youve been hearing alot of retards who dont know what their talking about. You are missing nothing, they are literally just so fucking stupid (zoomers have a near 50% functional illiteracy rate) that they genuinely think giving you the ability to OWN something and BE happy is a bad thing.
Key cards were a response to 3rd party publishers offering digital only games last gen, which meant that you essentially purchased a private license to play the game until they saw fit to take it from you.
The key-card has a key code which unlocks a downloaded game no matter what switch its put into, meaning that you can resell a digital game for the first time in history...but since nintendo is the ones that did what everyone was asking for, its bad by default.
