By hybrid, do you meant artifact decks that run Orchis, or do you mean you're running both artifacts and Orchis + puppet stuff?

That's a nerf, no matter how you slice it, and pure puppet suddenly stops working if you do that. I've pondered the idea of needing to have enough dead puppet cards to make her come online to make her slightly worse in artifact, but you can just run a few puppet cards to make up for that.
The cheap and dirty way of making her work only for puppet would mean she doesn't come online if you have 3- 4 artifacts played.

Uhh...Puppets already have rush. If you have to nerf it, make it so you need to actually run a decent amount of puppet stuff to make it work.. Like, after 5 puppet followers have been destroyed, then the evo effect hits, or you need 2 puppets in hand, then you discard them and the usual effect. The biggest issue with Orchis is ARTIFACT NIGGERS using my puppet wife to end games or stall instead of their own shit.
With any luck, artifact will get it's own shit, and pure puppets can be left alone, since it's not nearly as much as a problem.

I've had people bitch about puppet's clearing, but honestly, it's worse than artifact and it's 3/6/9 damage wave clear.
The late game damage for puppet is great if you can super evo Orchis into super evo Orchis, then stall until 10 for Liam if you managed to keep an evo tucked away. If they're haven and have been healing, all game, you're kinda fucked though.
But yeah, they need some other decent way to end. Here's hoping it's a more puppet support, or non artifact portal stuff. The deck really needs a 4 drop, and figther is...decent, but I have to run fucking Rukina to fill out the deck. Could use a 5 drop too, been making use of the mecha cav to try and overload some crafts, they can still clear it without too much issue.
What the deck needs is a win con without needing to eat evo, or a way to get there hoping you draw Orchis twice
