Giving a whole expansion to write to a guy who didn't do anything but write meh stories overfocusing on a character he absolutely fails to make people care about because of the amount of cliche they come with, examples being Zero, the aura blonde girl from the Save the Queen questline who is according to his writing a love interest for Cid and so on. Really, the Endwalker patches were very clearly foreshadowing what was gonna happen.

It's garbage and also the reason why he's against Stop Killing Games since the way he did his game falls under what SKG fights against.
Long story short his game doesn't work without Steam because it doesn't save your progression, it checks your steam achievements and puts itself in the corresponding state as a way to fight piracy according to him so if you have no Steam connection, you start again from 0. What's funny is that you can circumvent his "piracy protection" with a simple text file.
