Look... It's a really good game, yes, but you oversold it to me, /v/.
A lot of the level design is very questionable, most of the difficulty I had with this game was knowing where to go next in certain missions, rather than combat. And I beat final boss Vergil on my first try... Maybe I shouldn't have used Beowulf, what an OP weapon.
I liked DMC1 better overall, and yet neither come close to Bayonetta. I was told dmc3 would make me prefer it over it. Nah.
Should I play DMC4?

Can we admit that most people are in love with the idea of DMC rather than DMC itself? I was considering replaying the series and actually trying to S rank DMD but when I choose one of the games and think about playing it there's always

which take up 30-50% of the game or more that are just boring unfun slogs with unfun enemies or gimmicks or a lot of running around. I think people really romanticize the best parts of DMC which is a handful of cool bosses or doing cool combos. 5 has the least amount of wankery until it goes "Here, play this emo faggot who plays the game for you!" and the game is so ugly it really hurts my motivation to go from fight to fight
