I realise it's a very 2deep4you point, but at the end of the day, nature can be reduced to that, by some cosmic horror, abiotic material assembled in such a way to allow self-replication. Everything since then has just been that first instruction repeating over and over in increasingly more complex organisms, and any kind of deviation from that code necessarily doesn't live on. You are, as a human living in the 21st century, at the very least partially watching it through the lens of that all this pointless brutality is occurring because we were set on this unstoppable course by a piece of shit strand of DNA some 4.5 billions of years ago. Mother Nature meanwhile is a relic from a time when humans hadn't seen as far as we have, and the world felt more infused with meaning, including even its moments of brutality

On one hand, I want devs to be held accountable for pumping out live service shit and killing it off after a few months, but on the other, all if this being tied to E-celeb faggotry makes me care a whole lot less. Hopefully something good will come from all this crap.

Starfield sold becuase we were promised FO4 in space but got diversity simulator instead along with Bethesdamites doing their job. I dont think people will buy it just becuase its sci fi (Concord was sci fi). Besides the game protag seeming insufferable and the trailer bombing I'll be surprised if it breaks even but who knows maybe expectations can be subverted and its amazing.
