There is not a single Sonturdgefag that understands the characters. It's almost impressive how delusional and fanfic-brained they are. They literally ignore everything about both characters just to force their shitty enemies-to-lovers fanfiction garbage. Surge fucking HATES Sonic with every fiber of her being - it's not some cutesy tsundere bullshit, she wants him DEAD because of what Starline did to her. Durrhurrdurrrr "green girl mean to blue boy omg they should kiss he should mindbreak her into a generic waifushit fuckmeat trophywife"
It's the same retarded logic that infected every other fandom. Take two characters with actual conflict and depth, strip away everything that makes them interesting, and turn them into generic romance template trope #47. They don't give a shit about Surge's trauma or her legitimate grievances, they just want another "bad girl gets fixed by good guy" power fantasy.
They even butcher IDW Sonic's character which in itself is a butchering of the real Sonic. Apparently they think Mr. "I don't force my beliefs on others" is going to emotionally manipulate a mentally damaged teenager into loving him. "B-b-but she could be redeemed!!!" Missing the entire fucking point that Surge works BECAUSE she's an irredeemable consequence of Sonic's world. She's not meant to be saved. But god forbid we have interesting character dynamics or a rare female villain character when we could have more bland shipping slop instead. Sonurge is for people who look at a traumatized character study and think "but what if it was porn and I could jerk off to it?"
Sonturdgefaggots are trash and deserve to be insulted whenever they post. They don't deserve peace of mind. You don't understand shit if you think reducing Surge's trauma into waifu bait is good writing.
