"Lady Yasaka, why are you being so unreasonable..." I can only sigh in frustration. It has been over an hour since I arrived at the boundary between Gensokyo and the Outside World. I have been tasked by Lady Yasaka to wait for her laptop to finish downloading the latest update for the video game she has been religiously playing. I had to find a weak spot in the barrier left by her to find a strong internet connection as she distracted Lady Ran in the meantime. I really don't know how this relates to my duties, but I cannot help but accept her pleas. What I am really worried about is not Lady Yukari, no, but the Hakurei shrine maiden. The Sage works in ways i do not understand, but she is one i do very much understand from experience. "Oh no..." I can only shudder thinking what she would do if she founds out our scheme.
"This is taking too long..." As the download trudges along, I ponder the circumstances that led me to this predicament. Lady Yasaka has grown obsessed with the game Nitori recommended to her. Naturally this has been a great opportunity for Lady Moriya to constantly tease her as being childish, which I admit has been a daily source of amusement. All the constant talk of video games at the shrine reminded me of the past. After entering Gensokyo, I pretty much cut all ties to the Outside World, including video games, but parts of it still linger in me...I was never a 'hardcore' gamer, but I do enjoy a great story from a video game when I see one. So when I was still in school, what little allowance I had to save for the few games I bought, I bought for the story. A particular one i liked was this RPG game "Final Fantasy X." It had a beautiful love story I was so enamored with, I even bought it's follow-up sequel on release.
