What happened to more simple racing games?
now these days it's either simulators or an open world festival with the most recent hypercars.

Are there any games similar to Ridge racer on pc on modern consoles?

I tried the emulated Ridge racer games on ps5, but the ps1 graphics and engine sounds put me off.
