Not my post. But it's obvious that people have read too far into their own memes, while ignoring all the conflict between Yoru and Denji.
Even these past few chapters, we have had:
-Denji pulling out his chainsaws after Yoru shot an innocent woman
-Calling her a crazy bitch
-Not listening to her advice regarding Fakesaw and seeing it as bothersome that she kept pressing him
-Yoru preferring to play the princess role while Asa took the lead to save Denji from his predicament
It's not all sunshine and rainbows between Yoru and Denji.

If he hurts her, it'll probably be because he tries to choose both and it gets fucked up somehow. Not because he chooses Yoru over Asa.
The last arcs were simply intended to make Yoru a viable choice instead of a totally evil bastard that deserves to be purged from existence (even Pochita tried to).
Denji's main experiences with Yoru prior to the last 40 or so chapters, was her trying to turn him into a weapon, kicking him in the balls and telling him that Nayuta is dead meat.
She's still in many ways very unpleasant for even Denji to deal with when she goes off on her crazy power trips. The main reason why Denji goes along with Yoru is because he's got absolutely nothing else going on. Nayuta is dead, Power is dead, Aki is dead, etc.
To him, a crazy unhinged Devil liking him is still better than no one liking him.

Denji wants to be punished for his sins... Yoru is willing to dish out that punishment.

Her bird form was a potoo from Central/South America after all.
Yoru is a hostile bitch who wants people to live in fear of her, but there is also a crazy logic to what she's doing. She tries in her own way to reward Denji as long as he keeps going along with her whims, and wants to give him incentives (with promises of sex) to get him to stay at her side.
She's just quick to get mad if someone doesn't obey her will, but seemingly just as quick to forgive as long as they do.

Definitely feels like Fujimoto is out to prove a point with her. Do NOT fall in love with evil women.
