Look around you...

If something confuses you, baffles about the human condition... always remember that it's narcissism.

It's narcissism.

Yeah, though this is a very, very complex idea.

You know batman? The joker is his "anima".

His repressed feminine. Morty plays the same role for Rick in Rick and Morty. When a man represses his feminine instincts, his capacity for genuine emotional connection, he projects it onto those men who stand in direct metaphysical conflict with his ethical principles and will to power.

His shadow, however, the same-sex repressed possibility of his own turning to "evil" is also projected along with it. What each man considers evil is unique to his own psychology. So, for, say, Batman, that would be pure irrationality and chaos. For Rick, it's the childlike naivety of Morty.

When a man projects his repressed feminine instincts onto a woman, however, something different can happen: there's no shadow projection.

Just the trickster.

This is where, say, Harley Quinn came from. She isnt Joker's lover, she's Batmans. Joker is the part of Batman that can love the feminine, and therefore woman. It's why he can't kill him.

It would kill the part of him capable of love.

These stories are natural language equations compressing very intricate psychological facts about humanity as it struggles upwards toward self actualization. They're well worth studying.

It's the people who feel silly or ashamed of play and fantasy that lock themselves into aggressive, immature outbursts at the sight of something feminine: the story itself.

Alright, the wave of nostalgia really is over now.
