There is a lot of friction in every action that you do, even the most insignificant action or thought is met with a ton or resistance and inconvenience. In the natural world, even hard tasks are usually done seamlessly and the flow is real. Take for example transportation. In the natural world things like walking are both used for transportation, relaxation, cooldown, downtime. In our world you have public transport, and also car, and also insurance, and also jogging if you wanna have some semblance of health, and also walking at your job, and also airplane, and also car maintenance, and also shoes, and also roads, and also and also
Just a ton of inconvenience for something as simple as getting from point A to point B.

Why would time be an issue? Without a clock, I don't have a "time" I need to get to a place. And if the food that I eat isn't accessible by foot within a day's distance, then there are bigger problems at hand than simply "getting from A to B sooner"
