Because BBCF is easier to get into and is much more fraudulent by design on top of being a franchise that actually built its fanbase in the west from the very beginning, unlike GG which was a literal who until they woke up with Xrd and started to actually try to sell it.
People play CF over something like +R because the latter has a much higher skill floor right from the start, Xrd was also largely controversial among actual GG fans (all 20 of them) because it dumbed down a lot of stuff and to many of them felt like a downgrade (it was), lots of historical XX players weren't particularly happy with Xrd, some of them like Satou pretty much dropped the series entirely due to that, it's the same issue Moldy Bread had with Type Lumina.
Also, in BB's case it should be noted that CF is the only game in the series with maybe later CP patches that is actually vaguely playable, and even though you BB fags love to shit on GG due to your inferiority complex you're also very quick to forget how BBTAG is a thing so shut the fuck up, FGs as a whole have a huge problem with posers like most competitive genres out there, you just love to pick on GG because it's popular with normalfags now when the average Sleep Fighter/Capcom "fan" is the same exact thing as the GG fan excited to play GG for the first time with Strive.
