>This game is absolutely amazing at creating realistic, semi-historical storylines that can go in all ways possible - from the player messing around to the AI acting on its' own. If you roleplay well, it becomes a history sperg's dream, which is quite fitting for me.
Couldnt agree more, I got into the boat of CK2 very late.
I always heard of the game but never bothered because of these prices at the time and I was just playing a Fallout mega campaign from Fallout Nevada, 1, 1.5, 2 around 2019 when Holy Fury was released.
So glad I play it now for about 2 years now, and I have around 700 hours and I feel like I havent scratch all the possibilities and roleplaying potential.
So far I did :
>Classic Irish 1066 start - game over
>Norse Pagan reformation 769 start - abadonned
Way too easy and honestly I was going into a world conquest and it was just boring
>867 Rollo de Normandie start - abandoned
Semi-roleplay and achivement hunting, I abandoned after the Pope forced me to go to war with defensive pacts on and even the Pope join in to beat me. Thought it was bullshit and the border gore was too much. I had both Normandie and I was Emperor of the Latin Empire.
>House Capet start in 769 - abandonned
Charlemagne formed the HRE and I was a very loyal vassals and somehow I got elected as the Emperor.
I stopped because it was a bit too much to handle too quickly, I was just managing things in my own kingdom and I somehow was elected.
