I wonder how involved Miyamoto was in Rare's games, not just the DK ones
IIRC he suggested the idea of the coconut guns when he playtested DK64 and saw the placeholder realistic shotguns (he was shocked for a minute, then sketched DK holding a cartoony monkey gun and was like "Use this :)")
There's also a vague memory deep in my head of Chris Seavor (during a "commentary" LP of CBFD) saying throwing toilet paper at the Giant Poo in BFD was Miyamoto's idea (or some other NCL guy's) but I could be hallucinating (though it'd still be funny to think Miyamoto had a semi-direct hand in Conker)
