Aspiring writer here, tell me where I’m going wrong:

>First I start with crystallizing what I want to convey in my story (moral, humor, cyncism, propaganda etc)
>Then I think of vehicles (plot and characters) to convey the message
>Then I give life to the characters and put myself in all of their shoes and argue their perspective as personally as possible
>Then once the characters are fleshed out fully and independently, I can see where all their internal contradictions are and where there are gaps
>Then, I switch to the world, and define the world to bridge character gaps or challenges
>Now the world is complete, I go back and edit the characters and their arcs and the plot to fit in with the world

How to hang self in apartment when there's nothing for me to hang off of? Help me get creative, can I use a door, a kitchen cabinet, a fridge? I'm 5"1 and will have to use a belt.
