Here on 4chan there is a romanticization of friendship and friend groups.

In reality, friendships work best when you're fairly distant and only see each other occasionally for a couple pints. Anytime you get really close, and especially when you try doing business with friends or going on long trips or shit like that, it all goes to hell and you end up despising each other.

I'm terms of support and advancement, friends haven't been useful to me even when I did them serious favors. They can lend you a tree fiddy or pretend to be a colleague for a background check call, that's about it, if you as them to really take risks for you or inconvenience themselves, they will mostly bitch out. I conducted the experiment of helping people out a lot and seeing how much that would advance my own social-financial-sexual situation, and the rate of return was AWFUL.

Blood brothers will turn on each other. Childhood BFFs. Loyalty is a sort of larpy act that stops as soon as one of the players reaches some arbitrary limit.

So don't feel bad if you don't have friends, focus on building yourself up. I think for INTJ/INTP, antisocial, individualistic, outsider types like the ones gathered here, friendships are unlikely to really add much joy to life. Even normies increasingly seem to be getting atomized.

inb4 muh societal collapse gang warfare: lift, box, weapon up. You'll be handier when the time comes. Under the right circumstances, white gangs will form almost spontaneously, having friends from beforehand isn't very important.

tl;dr friends are VERY overrated, practically worthless.
