>the person said they were proud to be trans.
I never said this. I am not 'proud' of being trans. I just was debunking the idea that 'Donald Trump made life miserable for trannies'. He didn't. Donald Trump has not affected me as a transgender person whatsoever. I find this discussion quite frankly stupid and wish we would go back to talking about Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose and Tails being cute.

Shonen has nothing to do with the heart of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Not even Sonic X is a shonen, but an action-comedy anime. Sonic is not meant to be a shonen. Sure, you can have Shonen fan animations like Nazo Unleashed, but the official Sonic brand cannot fall to Shonen. As it would do damage to the Brand and its identity as a blend of eastern and western elements and origins in Western animation history. The closest to a battle shonen this franchise has been was the incredibly western Sonic Prime, which while successful, has been notoriously shat on upon windfags so unless you're a prime enjoyer I question your devotion to the Sonic shonen agenda.
Sonic being inspiring to those around him is fine but it's also already featured in most media. I'm curious what you mean by this and what exactly you'd like to see in this regard. It's heavily featured in Sonic Origins' cutscenes already, which I enjoy.
'Have his freedom'? In what ways? You'd have to be more specific. I do agree that IDW restoration nonsense is holding him back and he shouldn't listen to broads like Lanolin but besides that, the franchise does seem to generally 'respect his freedom'. You'd have to elaborate what kind of 'freedom' you'd like Sonic to have that he currently doesn't.
