Anon. You didn't even read my post.
I want to actually talk about this, but I'm not sure if you are trolling at this point. I don't mean that in bad way, but the fact you said the exact thing that I warned you about doing just tells me that you either read the first sentence of my post and replied, or that you are just trolling.
If it's former, and you have trouble with reading longer things ot have trouble with slow pacing, then fine. Maybe Frieren isn't for you as the pacing can be quite slow and calm rather than constant action. Thankfully you have shounen anime for that, if you watch anime at all that is.
If it's latter, then I still hope you give it a shot. You know how bad something good can look by bad publicity or obnoxious fans. Think about your fav game/anime, you know the obnoxious fans of those things.
And if you don't know what I'm talking about... I have bad news for you.
Or if you are doing the usual "I'm pretending to be the stereotypical 'i hate x anime'-retard strawman" act, then please don't. It helps no one and is just waste of time.

The biggest problem is that SAO was the most popular one and it's fucking shit and exactly as you said.
But that happens with vidya and some genre's most popular game, or game that makes the genre popular for mainstream, being absolute shit. Same with books. People holds Harry Potter as their fav fantasy even when it's shit reading as adult. Or how Doom 2016 is the best FPS ever when it came out. Fortnite is best BR game. Braid is best indie game and so artistic. The Witness is best puzzle game. Persona 5 is the best JRPG and invented fusion jazz.
You know the deal.
You gotta just simply drag yourself through the mud. Most profitable usually isn't most deep. But sometimes popular stuff is popular because it's good. Just like with vidya.

A more positive version would be "Freiren of Farewells" which fits greatly with the friendship side but doesn't match too well with the demon killing side. In the end it's just untranslateable because there are no words that are that neutral in english for the topic, atleast not that sound good
