Hello, I am going to shill you Rain World.
This is not a recommendation for everyone. I am recommending this exclusively to people who have ALREADY PLAYED games where the "experience" of it is the main draw. I mean Outer Wilds, Return of the Obra Dinn, Subnautica. If you can't handle tedium or repeated failure, do not play Rain World. If you EVER look up ANYTHING about a game, no matter how minor or trivial, do not play Rain World.
If you pass these checks, you will still not like Rain World. You need to "deal" with the game up until the moment you realize it's worth it, but that moment will come and when it does so will you
Don't even watch the trailer on steam, it spoils the game and makes it look like garbage
>Okay, what is it?
Sidescroller survival exploration game. It is not randomly generated, but hand-crafted. You play an animal separated from its family during a torrential rainstorm. That's all you're given.
>What about the DLC?
It's incredible, but don't buy it. When you finish the game's main campaign, buy Downpour. Downpour does have some map changes that affect the main campaign, but don't use your money buying DLC for a game with an enormous filter rate.
>Is there ANY non-spoiler tip you can give me?
If you can beat Drainage System, you can beat the game. My tip for Drainage System is this: your oxygen level is reduced if you're exhausted by even a little bit when you enter the water, and pressing the swim button is suicidal and unnecessary (low speed gain massive oxygen loss)
