To be fair he's at least not a straight up Gary Stu since he created Mother Sphere who started oppressing the humans and then created the Naytibas in response by forcefully evolving humans to combat her. He's basically trying to fix his two big fuckups
In contrast Raven's just another symptom of the previously mentioned larger problems since Mother Sphere lying about the Airborne Squadron's purpose made her lose faith in what she believed in and Adam's "rejection" of her sent her over the edge
