That's a bad assessment of the problem. While imperfect, there are some AI models which are capable of aggregating data that would take a human months to read over and grasp in their entirety, it does this in seconds while being able to contextualize and summarize it. Useful, and while I disagree with certain aspects of the argument there are many who would clutch pearls over something capable of analyzing massive amounts of data and explain precisely what it means without theoretical constraints on ethics or societal norms. AI is an emerging technology with potential importance comparable to other great leaps in technology, and while the second and third-order consequences are merely speculative, you can see firsthand what the advent of the internet has done to society, and further still what the smartphone normalizing access to it did.
Most people are only interested in a very specific angle of approach to everything, I mean you saw the same thing with Coffin where tons of people drew a conclusion about it and then found data to explain it, and AI is no different. The monkeys are clapping their hands now because "AI make anime girl picture take that, random twitter artists!" until a decade later when somebody they know gets arrested for pre-crime or 85% of white-collar jobs are rendered pointless and they're stuck working in fields and factories competing against people who will work for peanuts.

NTA but dream logic just sort of works that way. It's a world of your own creation, even if you did so unwittingly the same thing which conjured your world also understands how it's put together. Any dream I've ever recalled has had an odd mixture of being completely batshit insane but making perfect fucking sense while I'm having it.
