I mean that's basically why I'm asking it. This card is a 2-mana hatebear for things that really don't need a hatebear right now. Why does red need yet another hasted creature that completely turns off mechanics intended to act as counterplay? There's no real winning scenario where the card is a good addition because it's either unplayable or a lynchpin in a super oppressive deck with no answers.

Not something they want to block, but, if they do, you can end up doming someone else to turn off lifegain.
Blasphemous Act is also a funny card.
