I'm sorry I really don't care what happens in ENT and I like that show despite all the stupid shit but comparing Archer to Kirk is a bridge too fucking far. Kirk is so fucking compotent it's sick. He is such the ideal for the type of person you want for this time of mission. He is a type of well rounded chameleon who can adapt to whatever is needed of him in the moment. He can be inspiring. He can be a hardass. He can be a sweetheart. He can be the bad guy. He can be the best friend. He can be the comedian. He can be smartest guy in the room. And you buy it. TOS was so amazing for making a character like that. To say Archer is that is so FUCKING offensive to me. The writing is not that. The acting is not that. The entire concept is not that. He is literally some nepobaby nobody wanted but the got the job because the actual first pick was insane, didn't follow orders and blew up the ship. I can't express this any harder: FUCK. ARCHER.
