It's always been EASY to bot, as in, any savvy player could operate google and find their way to minion/rb and run them without getting banned but they were paywalled pretty heavily
now a lot of bots are available completely for free on dalamud and can be set up like any other plugin

most of the problems with raiding in the west can be boiled down to westoids being selfish
people do team content but hate working as a team and treat everyone around them like an obstacle in the way of their clear/loot/parse
