This started a while ago and it's very arbitrary with what sites are affected. Half of the big tube sites demand verification and the other half don't. Some sites put up a page about it and blocked access as soon as it started then reversed it. Some sites affected have no verification system so you're outright blocked without a VPN. Some sites that demand verification still work if you already had an account so you can login with a throwaway email and no verification. Very flimsy and arbitrary law.
