gw stopped selling them outright a little while ago now

I'm honestly just pissed off that they made Bayonets completely useless. They've always been a suboptimal use of points but +1 strength in melee for your bolter/lasgun troops combined with +1 attack on the charge meant you could get some melee utility out of a tactical squad at least.

Now charge bonus is gone and bayonets are a miserable S: user AP: 5. Unless you're fighting militia there's zero difference between a soldier with a bayonet and a soldier without one, its an actual waste of points over just using the basic CCW everyone has.

That said they still look cool.

It's honestly insane how unuseable these threads have become since this edition was announced. You all deserve a smack to the back of the head
