Reapers are pretty scary... then again they sounded scary as fuck too which probably played into it far more.

I still remember doing the wrong (first time blind) progression near a mountain / alien base where a crashed ship was, parking the seamoth at like 199m with the lights on pointing down since it got dark when I found the crash, then swimming down to like 240+m to slowly whittle my way through it scanning shit to unlock, and the whole time I hear some Reaper fuck kvetching not too far away.

That was like 10+ trips between the seamouth and crash, at night, where I'm being blinded by my own headlights swimming up, and that god damn double nigger roared at least three times right when I was leaving the wreck making me think I was about to get destroyed. But the truly scary part? IT WAS A BUNCH OF FUCKING USELESS, THE ACTUAL USELESS ONES, PRAWN ATTACHMENTS THAT I COULDN'T EVEN USE FOR SO MANY HOURS LATER!
