Arbies unironically ruined Darktide. The concept of an all-rounder makes sense considering the established classes all have their niches, however the obvious powercreep demonstrates how little Fatshark plays or cares about their own game that they thought that this class that does literally everything all the time with no downside was going to be a good addition. They're tanky, they destroy shit in melee, their unique ranged options can focus on cleave or sniping, they can choose to be more supportive or more frontline for their career abilities and blitzes and even have sub-choices in these roles regarding their default NPC companion (which is more useful than 95% of all human teammates until it isn't.) There is never a time when every optimized team isn't 4 Ogryns/Arbites, of whatever mix.
