Why do they want their sequels to fail? It makes no sense, we've seen this exact strategy fail over and over and over and over again, yet they keep doing it

Rebirth is the most uneven game I've ever played. When it's about playing the actual game and enjoying the actual world, it's usually fun, but the minigames are absurd. There are too many of them and while most aren't "mandatory" they're heavily encouraged and the game is clearly designed around them. It's a fucking mess of a video game all things considered, and despite enjoying around half of my time with it, I can't recommend it to anyone.
