B) Smoking weed as an intelligent person is worse than being retarded and smoking. Here is my personal experience (R&D architect, BSC in physics,math) as a habitual smoker. I am very high functioning and that leads you to condition yourself to disconnect and tune out of complex problem solving through complacency and because you are self aware / can do internal code review you effectively can rationalize turning yourself off every day after work because it doesn't affect your work but ultimately it bombed my hobby engagement with my field. I've been trying to quit for a while but it's cheaper than booze and less of hangover. I probably would have much higher ability to solve problems on the fly and have better short term memory retention if I didn't smoke, but I'm addicted to feeling good in a shit world. It's a curse, stay away unless you can keep it entirely social.
