it's honestly nintendos fault, they poorly balanced mkw the worst of any mario kart since funky kong wii. baby blooper is so completely overpowered nothing compares to it, it's minmaxed to hell
and characters hidden stats are more relevant than ever. leading to only toadette and nabbit being worthwhile in midweight for example.

i just hope they bother balancing/updating the game outside DLC patches

roselina is focused on water speed while pauline has road speed
like 90% of the game is road speed. then like 7% is terrain and 3% water. even on the water tracks the best strat is to try and avoid it, so why would you want a character or vehicle specialised in it
