whenever Archer actually needed to be shrewd, calculating and ruthless, he ended up buttfucked by aliens. when he decides mercenary tactics, no forgiveness and torture is necessary, it's usually just because of actual histrionics and losing his temper and he just makes excuses afterwards. awful, awful captain.
