I am allowed to believe that a game should attempt to point out what the hell it's 40 different non English syllable code words actually mean lol. All I said is that I wish the game itself had told me/checked me on these root words more specifically, especially when the root words start to switch around all over the place when skill lists get longer and longer and you want to fuse for better abilities. It could be a basic way to check the players knowledge too, rather than just asking them mundane subject trivia questions at school, you could quiz their knowledge of the actual game mechanics and the terminology that've been steadily increasing in complexity. That sort of repetition and assessment helps anyone to compartmentalize the many, many detailed things you learn in life. That's how education works. Like imagine when you studied in the library, you had an assessment with questions like "what's the weakness of this specific enemy" or "what's the high form of the revival spell" or "what does Masukukaja do". I don't think that's a bad way to reinforce the spell names. Like I said, I played through Metaphor and barely paid attention to remembering the names of the spells since I never had to do any fusion or manage a limited skill list.
