It’s not “that consistent” because very few people know how to gauge power levels correctly in the first place with even regular franchises, let alone one that’s been around for decades and which applies an “everything is (technically) canon” canon policy and generally get mind broken by the inconsistency even though this is entirely the point. If you’re talking about 40k in general, there’s plenty of ways you can reconcile the inconsistencies, just specify what it is you want and ask for the average, in the case of Darktide in particular it’s a bit more hard because we don’t really know how far GW/FS wants to push the scale on things, but what we’ve seen so far is fairly ease to judge and draw conclusions from.
