It's probably for the best to go the Mario Kart route and focus development on long-term playability, we'll get splatfest-like events in the future with teams and stuff so that will be fun, also the game looks slow because only journos got their hands on it at SGF and Super Sonic Speed wasn't in the build also apparently Extreme Gear will be slower than cars but will be faster than any Car can be with boosts so the strat will be to be boosting all the time.
