classic liberalism is predicated upon rule of law (protection of individual freedoms, negative rights, no big "democratic" busybody power crushing individual rights)
upholding rule of law requires a strong police/army/law enforcement authority (that's like, the one thing everyone worth his salt agrees on, there has to be a state who has the legitimate monopoly on violence)
And strong rule of law means that illegal immigration gets fought head-on
Any "libertarian" who agrees with open borders is full of shit and should pick up a proper book on classical liberalism
On the demographics problem, the only actual reason why it is a "problem" is that pension systems work like ponzi schemes that collapse if there's not enough young people to scam
A libertarian system would make everyone in society entitled to their own savings, there's no ponzi, people don't get free money from someone else.
