American strategic leadership is a mistake we cannot afford to continue. They triggered Article 5 and sent us into a 20-year engagement in Afghanistan; they are using military MISO capabilities to target Greenland, and their lies and hypocrisy are destroying the values which the alliance was founded to protect.

In Norway, America built massive radar installations to enable them to track the Russian ICBM installations, bypassing Norwegian political oversight and using their special relationship with the intelligence services to do it.

This has made Norway a first-strike target for the Russians, and not a single debate was ever had about it.

This sort of special relationship with America is not sustainable going into the future. Trump is the most Russia-friendly administration and openly corrupt president the Americans have ever elected.

We need alternatives to NATO and alternatives to American leadership. Their institutions have proven weak and unable to deal with cults of the MAGA variety.

Europe will build up defences, but as proven by purchases, we aren't buying American due to the inherent risk.

We need to look out for ourselves and divest from the dying empire as it lashes out at allies for its own strategic blunders.
