I think it's quite appropriate of her character based on her dream from episode 2. Pomni seems to be a reciprocating kind of person, trying to find connection and attachment to know for sure her back is held, "today for you, tomorrow for me" kinda deal. Might explain how she's so open to be the group's pseudo therapist even though she admits she's not cut for the job.

Something interesting as well is how she is always looking out for subtle chances to incorporate herself into the group, like how she starts to speak up to Caine always after Zooble and with a kinder intent in contrast to Zooble's brash approach.or how she allows for Ragatha/Jax to initiate talk rather than searching for them herself but still inquiring on her own when enough trust is reached.
