I think they're right that Jax likes Gangle, tries to be somewhat soft on her, and maybe even sometimes deludes himself into thinking she enjoys being the buttmonkey center of his horrid attention and self-serving comedy shticks.

I think the more constructive way of dealing with toxicity is recognizing and acknowledging fondness, instead of thinking in black and white. If you don't, any gentle behavior or anything that doesn't line up with your idea of a bad person will be more likely to throw you off, deflate your conviction, and pull you back to them. The goal is to not be so desperate to be liked or included that you'll tolerate shitty treatment.

Which is why Jax might actually be right that she likes it. Gangle is a very very sad and lonely girl. And this is why Zooble and Pomni stepping up to show her that she's liked while also treating her well is so important.

Basically the ending is that everyone besides Pomni ends up abstracting, which leaves her insane, but not enough for her to abstract.

Cue the epilogue, with a completely new crew welcoming the latest newcomer. Eventually the "leader" of the new crew notices someone is missing, then looks to a pillow fort in the corner, he goes there (you can hear someone talking under it), knocks on the fort and says something like "rise and shine! Come greet our new friend!", and then Pomni crawls out of the fort, looking slightly older, disheveled and twitching, and greets the wrong person, then gets corrected and greets the newcomer. The rest of the crew comment that she's been there the longest, one of them mentions that they were sure that she would abstract before someone else (kinda like what Zooble says about being sure Kinger would abstract before Kaufmo), then Pomni excuses herself saying that she needs to go back to the fort, because her friends are waiting for her.

Its an intriguing question. Goose said episodes 5 and 6 are Ragatha and Jax focused, so the easy answer is them locked in a room. But that also would mean Pomni, someone both of them are fighting for, is completely out of the equation. And I think if Pomni and Jax are gonna have a fallout it would make more sense for them to be stuck together.
