Something makes me think that no one really thought of bringing the topic to Caine, like everyone who joined since Kinger simply heard 'there is no exit and you have to do a lil side quest all day everyday kthxbye' and went along with it up until Zooble who may not have vibed with that since arriving but Caine let them off the hook because they were the first case scenario of that kind. Then Pomni arrives and you have her going in with the flow not even three days in (traumatized and anxious, but participating anyway), so now Zooble becomes this outlier that he must understand (cue all that therapy session and how we are at the point we are currently) and it all blows in his face that everything he has done so far has been hated "in secret" ( which it's funny because their talk implies that it's been hated loud but he never bothered to hear their concerns until that talk with Zooble)
>I wonder how he would go with the idea of him joining on an adventure and having someone else DM for a bit so he can get a fresh perspective
He kind of did that during the lightning round, mostly the softball segment where he served as announcer, but he got bored out of his mind in all of them. Which makes me think that he has more ego issues when someone else's work is better than his own, he just can't see the appeal to it because it's not something HE made even if technically he provided the assets and everything for it to play out. He wants to be the big apple but everything is piling up against him
Caine is not beating the Cain&Abel allegations now that I think of it kek
Now, if they had decided to integrate him in their suggestions and had him play a role, he would still complain about the plot beats and how he would do better than the other players if they followed his advice or something. Also rig the game so it ends early and they can go play a better game (made by him, of course)
