Because releasing the files would hurt him more. This is all his own fault and he's running away from accountability. It looks like Trump worked with and helped Epstein have sex with and traffick underaged women. Then he turned him in and had him killed, while very publicly denouncing Epstein, denying a connection, and demanding an investigation. It was stupid of him to draw attention to it, and it's even dumber that he's just now scrambling to figure out how to cover everything up. Trump is a useful idiot, but he's insanely stupid. And people have such big egos they think they can use him. It's crazy where our future is headed.
