I took a 6 month break between June and December of 2020 because I switched ISPs and the new IP address I got was permabanned for some reason. Eventually, I bought a pass and used that for a couple of years, and then one day I forgot to renew it and accidentally discovered my IP had been unbanned.

That is, by far, the longest break I have taken from 4chan in 15 years. Other than that one time, I don't think I've been away from this site for longer than a month.
