>>713761365HP2010 looks nice and the sound design is A+, but I found it a pretty frustrating experience overall. The rubberbanding is horrendous and I didn't really like how it basically forces you to near flawlessly drift through every corner. I also wasn't a fan of the unlock system where you'll still be unlocking cars a tier behind where your next missions are, so if you're just trying to bang them out and complete them you'll probably be stuck in the same cars for a while if the mission doesn't force you into a specific one. The car selection isn't too great in higher tiers either as you'll mostly be driving Porsches and Lamborghinis, especially if you're playing the Remaster.

It's dynamic as fuck and makes every race feel exciting
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBisrN0gOQY

As another anon has mentioned you're supposed to push in the clutch when it gets below 1k RPM's, but when you have to brake suddenly it all happens so fast and the timing is tight. It might appear that you're braking and pushing in the clutch at the sime time, but yeah braking should come first. You need engine braking to help you and you can also unsettle the car if you put it in neutral suddenly.

>>713766523There is, it's a game that naturally caters to speedrunners so not only will people spend from tens of hours up to thousands (!) on a single track to shave thousenths of seconds (which is a little buggy because of how the game is programmed), they'll try to pull off 1 in a 100 chance shortcuts just to save on time.
>>713804149Honestly it was less apparent in 3, it's mainly the gymkhana events that had it. Now dirt showdown bought that back but it was more in the derby/car combat arena style with all the rock and metal music that game had.

I wish so badly for a game that plays like sim racing but has fantasy tracks, I want it to play like asseto corsa with hpattern/wheel/clutch but I want to play motorstorm or trackmania tracks.
>>713813946aieeeeeeeeeeee
>>713814217so download Motorstorm or Trackmania tracks? What's the issue?
>>713815565Arcade games are for low IQ shitters.
>>713814217Considering the AC's moddign scene, there's bound to be community created tracks like that.
I'll ask here since I don't know where the fuck else to ask. One day for seemingly no reason my controller stopped working with underground 1, and only this game. The controller in the options shows up as second keyboard and it's impossible to bind any keys on my pad. I have the widescreen patch applied so it should just work with any xinput pad.
Does anyone have a clue wtf is going on? The pad is 8bitdo 2C, it's just recognized as a generic xinput pad and it worked before no problem but one day it just fucked itself and I can't find any answers.
>>713815852Assetto Corsa is an arcade game?

>>713775652redpill me on BeamNG anon pls what's there to do singleplayer

>>713816129not sure if it'll help, but you could try adding it to steam as a non-steam game and letting steam input hook into it, werks for me sometimes with older games
>>713816527You can drive cars around, it's pretty cool
>>713797964>Non issue, going into the grass makes you slow as fuckthere's no grass in the way of you cutting these chicanes, hence the barriers. at least get to know the shitshow you're defending so aggressively
anyone play old school rally? if so what do you think of it?
i like it a lot, the driving itself feels really good and the stages are pretty, the "repair time" during events feels kind of pointless in its current state though, unless you're bing bang bonging all over the place every single track you're always gonna be able to fully repair whenever possible
>>713816527Still waiting for AI racing, but there's a lot of time trials and you can sort of setup chases. My most time spent in the game is fucking around with other people in the multiplayer mod, but once AI racing is added I will be all over it. BeamNG is one of the best driving games, it's very overlooked simply because some core features like bots are not implemented yet. Some might be turned off by visuals, but this is the price to be paid for the soft body physics.
>>713816593I didn't consider that but tried it and it doesn't seem like the game recognizes steam input at all.

>>713752071 (OP)how do I get over my fear of driving? Driving in traffic or in a highway scares the shit out of me
>>713817173I was interested in it, not a fan of how they handled the art direction. It looks worse visually than the old games that inspired it.
Also a personal grievance of mine are fake real cars. If the game has fake cars I prefer if they make up their own models instead of lazily recreating real ones and only change the names
>>713752071 (OP)Mario Kart World, or really, ANY Mario Kart game. Racing doesn't get better than that to be honest.

The controller also supports 2.4g wireless and USB connections, with the 2.4g receiver defaulting to XInput mode on Windows"

>>713823140Do you have another controller connected? If yes, try disconnect it to see if it works.
Try the button combinations I posted, it's how you enable xinput or directinput. Some old games only recognize directinput controllers.
>>713799939shame about the newest one
>>713823140Man I was having a bunch of issues with PCSX2 and my controller yesterday, what worked for me was going into the PCSX2 settings, enabling Dinput and disabling everything else, making sure my pad was set to Dinput and there are also some games that don't work right when I hit the "mode" button which I still don't fully understand the purpose of because the xinput/dinput switch is on the back
Exiting steam might help too if you have it open. This is similar to what was happening to me.
