Why the fuck would you not just use every single permeation of these in knockout tour and let races just be classic 3 laps? I don't understand the logic, they had 2 seperate modes primed and ready

If I WANTED to play intermission tracks, I would play knockout tour. It's just that simple. I'm not a comp player, I just chose random so races could be different than knockout tour but now every mode is the same.
