Officer sized 1911s being unreliable is not fuddlore, the gun has much less time to cycle correctly, I think 9mm ones are more reliable due to the slower slide velocity but I don’t know. If you can’t get a more upscale officer then get a commander. The size difference isn’t that much and your wrists will thank you.

I don’t know anything about Ruger 1911s other than people not complaining about them
