Again, there is nothing stopping you from learning Japanese. There are thousands of guides, thousands of resources, millions of study materials, many of which are on your PC right now in all likelihood, and you choose not to.

The first one is technically true if you consider the story's ending but I doubt your average troper read that far. Chalk it up to blind luck.
The second is mostly fanfiction and based off some throwaway lines that also don't really make sense when you consider the ending.
That's just typical TVtropes reading too much into things and finding meaning where there is none.
