What was it like to play this on an average 2004 CRT with the overhead camera? Did you have to squint a lot? Could you even tell what was happening?

Does the remake improve anything? Like

I know I know, but I only got the HD collection on PS3 and idk how to get MGS1. Since its getting a remake first I imagine its not that hard to get into

Is there actually any legitimate argument against it being the greatest game of all time?
