But everyone knew beforehand how easily it bricks if you mess around with it so it's kinda silly to try messing around and bricking it, then complain.
Like if it was an update that would brick it then fair enough.

It's stupidity that hurts me the most, just like people defending the guys who sold kits that were made to brick if you tried to reverse engineer them. Do remember that even /v/ defended those.
And as another anon said while replying to you, don't keep connected to internet. Same kind of guys who complained that Valve VAC'd them after having Cheat Engine open "on accident" while playing CS:GO. Just don't mess with hacking while connected to servers.
If you want an open handheld device with customization, I recommend Steam Deck, or hacking Switch 1.
But I seriously doubt people want to just "casually homebrew" Switch 2 for "more free consumer usage". They just want free games, pirate, or use cheats online(Mario Kart Wii)
