I'm 44. Got a Nintendo when I was 9. Before that had coleco vision. Games meant a lot to me growing up.
The only game I can play for longer than a couple hours total is 7 Days to Die. No story. Survival/crafting with full control over creation/destruction. It's not perfect but it scratches the itch.
Eldenring was fine. Meh. Ark, meh. Can't do sports games, fighting games anymore. RPGs are all so fucking gay with their faggoty stories. I like Fallout but 4 was like a decade ago. Elder Scrolls was cool I guess but the lore has always been gay. After getting into 7D2D I can't imagine not being able to build/destroy my environment.
Getting old isn't great but I'm glad I get to share my hobby with my kids. I play Halo with my sons occasionally. I'm over it but they love it so that makes it fun. I don't let them play 7D2D yet maybe when they older. Thanks for reading my blog
