An ‘inner monologue’ is literally what your soul is in relation to the Bible.

A living soul is a being with a body and an eternal spirit inhabiting it. You ever wonder why time seems to speed up when you sleep? Anyways, we were made in God’s image, and that means we have a body, a soul, and at one point we did have a spirit, but that was killed off when a woman decidedly disobeyed God after Satan lied.
So now anons, our bodies and the universe are cursed with entropy, and our eternal souls face the penalty of forever fire if we don’t change our minds bout Jesus.
Believe me, if religion could fix a clearly 4 dimensional issue, it would’ve a long time ago.
We do have free will, it’s not according to the body, it’s according to the fact that our souls are implicated as eternal by the penalty that we face if we don’t believe the gospel.

So with your ‘inner monologue’ all you have to do is believe what Jesus did at the cross to mean you’re going to heaven, and it’s proven via 1 Cor 15 1-4

It’s not about what you do, Jesus took care of that, it’s about where your belief is, are you trusting yourself? Or do you take what happened at the cross and 3 days later to mean you’re going to heaven?

Religion has nothing to do with salvation and is controlled opposition to Satan, so religion isn’t going to believe in a rapture because the rapture implies you’re saved by what God does, and religion wants none of that given it’s entirely self aggrandizement and vain self idolization in the form of robe wearing and moral larping as if you behave by a perfect law that no one but God can emulate.

This is why the priests can’t recognize Jesus, their pride blinds them from being able to see God even as he performed miracles in front of them. The reasons why people reject God have little to do with facts or evidence, there are several people throughout the book that know they’re interacting with God, know he’s God and yet still do not trust him.
